April's Newsletter Part II

What an awesome teaching Pastor Gregory started this month  titled: "A New Sense of Purpose". Have you ever asked yourself the question: "What have  I been called to do?"  Are you at the point in your life where you are not sure of what your future holds?  Do you feel hopeless? The answer is found in Jeremiah 29:11-12 .  This Scripture is the golden key that is going to allow you to discover God's plan for your life.  And it is up to you and I to grab a hold of that key and not let go of it.   If you don't grab a hold of it  you will drift away because you don't know what  the plan is for your life; you need to examine the pattern- the role model.  And who is that? JESUS . 

The Christian life is a race .How can we run this race if we are carrying extra weight? What is it that we need to strip off?  Is anxiety making it too heavy for you to run, or is it worry?  Worry gets real heavy when we are not focused.   STRIP IT OFF!  Don't put it back on because it is slowing you down to the point where you can't run any more and you just want to drop out!   The enemy is the one that wants you to drop out. In Hebrews 12:1  it tells us that "We are to run with endurance".  You may ask, how do I do that?  Look what verse 2 tells us: "We do this by keeping our eyes on JESUS; the champion who initiates and perfects our faith". When you lock your eyes on JESUS, He will set all things in motion.

He is the Perfecter.  Don't get out of the race.  Allow God's grace to take over your life .  Without it, you won't be able to run this race. Jesus wants you to finish the race.  He is the one that started it, and he will allow you to finish it.  He will never start something that he is not going to complete, so don't drop out. Keep your eyes on Jesus, I guarantee you cannot loose!
