Pastor Gregory just started a new series titled "Glorifying God in your Body." Your body was made to glorify God. To glorify means "to honor." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us, "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." Your body is the Lord's temple. He owns your temple. He dwells inside of you. God dwells in a temple made not by hands but by divine workmanship. So you may ask, "How can I glorify God in my body?" Proverbs 13:25 reads, "The righteous eats to the satisfying of the soul, but the stomach of the wicked shall be in want." You and I should be eating until we are satisfied, not full, because our body is the temple of God. Any other form is misuse. Romans 12:1 reads, "I beseech you brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. We can glorify God in our body by dedication- we should dedicate our body to God. Inspiration- we must motivate ourselves for change and eating and exercising. We should eat to live and not live to eat. 1 Corinthians 10:31 reads, "Therefore, whether you eat or drink , or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God . You and I will have to give an account of what we have said and done to our body. Remember this, your body and spirit both belong to God. They have both been redeemed. You are God's property. You have a divine purpose. So let us honor Him. Let us glorify Him in our body. Let us according to Psalm 139:14, "Give Him praise, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Hallelujah!

What an awesome teaching the Holy Spirit has given Pastor Gregory this month! It is titled: "Still the tongue". Meaning quiet the tongue or silence the tongue. Or in other words, don't talk, but take time to listen. When you and I listen, we gain knowledge. Proverbs 17:28 tells us "Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent." The Word of God is offering you and I to teach us how to still the tongue. It is up to you and I to open up our spiritual eyes and ears and listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say. When our tongue is out of control, that is an indication that you and I do not fear the Lord. If I asked, "Do you want to live a long prosperous life?" Your answer would be, "Yes, of course." The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:13-14: "The only way we will be able to live a long prosperous life is to keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work,to maintain it." Matthew 12:33-37 outlines for us something powerful. Jesus is explaining how if a tree is good, the fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, the fruit will be bad. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart. And an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. There is a DIRECT connection between the heart and the mouth. The tree is the heart and the words that come out of our heart are fruit. If our heart is not right, our words are not right. Your treasure is in your heart. We need to follow God's command so we can get to that place. If our heart is good, the word will be good. If our heart is evil, then the word we speak will be evil. Today is a new day. Let us examine ourselves and if we haven't been speaking correctly, let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us. Listen to the videos and you will hear the Holy Spirit speak directly to you. I guarantee you that once you apply the Word of God to your life, you will see a change, a divine change, a divine transformation, from God. And we will be on the right road to become just like Jesus! |
