Pastor Gregory just started a new series titled: "Think Excellence and Live Effective". I will share with you what I have learned: if you put your mind on God, you will be in total peace. That's right- total peace, but to obtain that total peace, your words must be connected to His word. Proverbs 4:5 tells us: "Get wisdom; develop good judgement. Don't forget my words or turn away from them". You are either creating or destroying your world with the words that you say. Proverbs 10:21 tells us: "The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom". God is trying to teach us how to walk in His purpose and not to go in the opposite direction. He wants us to have this gift, the gift of life. You and I can have this gift of life by coming to Him by our own free will and by confessing with our mouth that He has died for us on the cross. If you and I do not recognize that we need a savior, we will never find salvation. God gave us salvation and a savior named Jesus. Not one of us are righteous on our own. We become righteous by putting our faith in Jesus Christ. We need to ask God to help us become conscious of our wrong doing. We have to confess to the Father. We cannot stay the same. You and I were created to bring Him pleasure. You are God's property - which means you have been redeemed cleansed and sanctified! That's a reason to shout right there! Hallelujah!

What an awesome teaching Pastor Gregory has been doing titled "Change Your Inner Self, Your Old Way Of Thinking". You may ask, "How do I do that?" We can accomplish this when we give up our old way of thinking and put on the new way of thinking and that is the Word of God. In Romans 1:1, Paul identified himself as a bond servant or a slave for Christ. Now slave is a word that we don't like using. There are things in our lives that may be enslaving us. What is it that is consuming your strength and taking away from you spending time with your Heavenly Father? It is so important for us to know our identity in Christ. We should be submitted and committed to the mind of God. If you want to succeed, you must think like your Father thinks. To get our mind renewed, we must start by giving thanks. In Matthew 14:19-20, Jesus gave thanks for a miracle that was about to happen. He knew His Father would bring provision. And He did! He super sized His request. We don't have to wait. We need to have an attitude of gratitude. We should give thanks BEFORE the result comes and not wait until it happens. In Romans 1:25, they exchanged the truth for a lie. If we exchange what God has for us for a lie, we will never see God's manifestation. God will not release to us what we do not deserve. What we need to do is hear and retain the truth so that we will be able to release it. We need to change our thinking and direction of our life. We do that with the truth of God. Don't be afraid to ask God for the truth. If you have an open heart and give an ear to hear, God will answer you. Pastor Gregory just started a new series titled "Understanding the Fruit of the Spirit". The fruit of the spirit is a gift from God. There are nine fruits and they are : love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. The first fruit of the spirit is love which we must cultivate. God is loving by nature and to know Him is to demonstrate His nature. We need to walk in love. You and I must learn how to develop and practice the fruit of the spirit daily. These fruits are flowing in our lives and because they are flowing, we cannot fail. You don't have to fall or stumble and you certainly don't have to miss your destiny. You can run because you can run the way God wants you to run. Are you walking in the fruit of the spirit? Are there some that need to be worked on? Spend time with our Heavenly Father. He is always there to help you. Pastor Gregory just finished a teaching titled “What’s Blocking My Connection - Noise?” In other words, if you and I want to hear from God, we will have to get rid of all the noise around us. If you are going to be what God called to you to be, you must learn not to pay attention to the noise that is around you. A blocker is anything that prevents or prohibits someone from doing something. If you want to unblock a blocker, you must use the word of God, which is truth to your heart. When we read, listen and search the Word of God; this Word is the message of Life. To be able to unblock a blocker, you must go to Romans 8:37 which reads: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” This means that we have overwhelming victory through Christ! If I am more than a conqueror, there is going to be something or someone that I am going to have to overcome or conqueror. Perhaps it may be persecution. The Bible gives us the greatest example and role model - Jesus. He suffered so much persecution, even to the point of death. He overcame for us. He was not overcome by it, He kept His focus. Jesus knew what He needed to do. This is the golden key that I will share with you all. Jesus was victorious because he had a personal relationship with His father. If you start having a relationship, a true relationship, with our Father you will be able to stay focused like Jesus no matter what you may be going through. Remember. Jesus was so victorious, He arose victoriously over three situations: death, hell and the grave. Jesus overcame all three. And if He overcame them, then you and I can overcome any blocker that is blocking our connection. Remember, you are “More than a conqueror”. The victory is yours - claim it today, claim it right now! Pastor has been doing an awesome series titled "Put On Your Defensive Armor." Think about this for a moment. If a soldier went out to fight in a war without the proper weapons, what do you think would happen? He would be defeated and wide open for attack from the enemy, right? You and I are soldiers in the army of the Lord and it is so important that we use the armor that the Lord has given us to fight every single attack of the enemy. This is not a natural fight, it is a spiritual fight. We must use spiritual weapons, which include: the blood, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and your faith. The enemy will try all he can to reason with us. The battleground is in our mind. He blinds our mind and wants to keep you and I in darkness. The more the enemy attacks, the more they build up a stronghold. Or in other words, an error, a deception, a demonic bondage. He doesn't want the light of the Gospel to change us in the image of Christ. 2Corinthians 5:17 tells us: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Our true identity has changed because we carry Christ inside of us. The spirit of God is upon you and remains in you. The only way the enemy can blind your mind is if you do not believe. When you believe you become dangerous and can tear down the enemy. God wants to flush out this stronghold. We must tear it down. And we do this through the truth - the word of God. The more you get trained, the more the stronghold will break. This is what we must do to pull down strongholds: 1. Make a decision that you are going to be happy. 2.Cast down your imagination when it is not right. 3. Bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Psalm 144:1 tells us: " Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle." So get ready for the battle because you must be prepared at all times. And remember- the victory is yours! Pastor Gregory has been doing a teaching titled: "Transform Your Thinking". In other words, we must reconstruct our thinking or change it completely. You may ask, "How do I do that?" Proverbs 23:7 tells us: "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." We must develop good thoughts. When we do that, then our thoughts become actions and will start producing things for us. Everything in our life happens first in our mind. Our thoughts are seeds, and when they come out of our mouth, they will produce a harvest. What we must do is evaluate our thoughts and compare them with the bible. Find out what the Word thinks about it. We must first "pray out" old thoughts and then "pray in" new thoughts. According to Philippians 4:8-9, we must think of things that are noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Then we must commit to the process, because if we do, God promises us that His peace will be with us. The kingdom of God is inside of you and has power, and that power is Jesus. Power will help you deal with things. Whatever Jesus did and said, is what you and I need to do and say. The more we use the Word of God that is inside of us, the more developed we will become in our walk with the Lord. Let us not let another day go by. Let us start today, right here and right now. For when we change the way we think, we will change the way we live! What an awesome teaching pastor Gregory has been doing on "Take God at His Word". Psalm 130:5 (NKJV) tells us: "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope." It is so important that we put our trust and hope in the Lord. We need revelation of God's word and must go to the Holy Spirit who will give us the revelation that we need. Jesus talks to us in His word. The Holy Spirit is the revealer and the interpreter. John 14:25-26 (NKJV) tells us that the Holy Spirit teaches us and reminds us. You and I must communicate with the Holy Spirit in order for us to receive from Him. The Holy Spirit is an ever present provider; a comforter and an encourager. He will never discourage us. When we study the Word of God daily, we will receive daily benefits. When we are living in the written Word, we are standing in the written Word. Our yesterday faith is gone, and we are living in a now faith! We must let the Word of God transform us to experience His glory. According to Colossians 3:10 (NKJV) we must "put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him". Job 22:21 (NLT) tells us: "Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you." Let us take that first step right here and right now and submit to God. I guarantee you, He will take care of the rest. When a boxer is preparing for a big fight, he trains his body. The more he trains and the harder he works at it, the more his body will be fully conditioned and ready to take on his opponent. The righteousness of God is God's right way of doing things. When we train in righteousness, we will receive the benefits of an abundant life. God made Christ, who never sinned, to be an offering for our sins. Our blood brother paid the price so that we can live a life of joy, righteousness, abundance, and all good things. Whatever it is that we need, the price has already been paid. That offering allowed us to be right with God. You and I have been saved by pure righteousness because Christ never sinned. His blood was the offering. Romans 10:10 tells us: "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." We must believe with our heart. If our heart don't believe, we will never come into this gift of righteousness. It is nothing that we have done, it is what Jesus did for us. Sometimes you have to go against the current to get where you want to go. Let's make a quality decision right here and right now to awake to righteousness - to think carefully and to do what is right and to stop doubting. Renounce anxiety and be thankful. I tell you it will be one of the best decision that you will ever make. Prayer is a direct communication with our heavenly Father. It is a way that God provides for us to come into His presence. John 9:31 (NLT) tells us, "We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will." Murmuring and complaining doesn't get His attention, but worship does. If you want God to hear you, you must first worship Him and give Him thanks So let us join together and spend time in the Lord and practice our prayer life. It's a process and it takes training. The more you and I do it, the easier it becomes. The more we do it, the more it will strengthen our internal power. Jeremiah 33:3 is our Heavenly Father's direct telephone line: "Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." God wants us to dedicate some time with Him, just like Jesus did. This will help you. Start out by, 1. praising and worshiping Him, 2. Give Him thanks, 3. Ask Him to forgive your sins, 4. Pray for others, and 5. Pray for yourself. If we make the quality decision to improve our prayer life and spend more time with the Lord, we will receive guidance, help and strength for our life. We are to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus gives you access right away. God is looking for us to have a relationship with Him. We must pray and persevere and be persistent in our prayer, but not repetitious . We must begin our day in prayer and end it in prayer. Psalm 5:3 (NLT) tells us, "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." So let us not waste any more time. Today is a new day. Spend time with Him, and you will be glad that you did. Pastor Gregory has just started a new series titled "Understanding Your Pastor." Your pastor is the man or woman that God has given to you to impart the word of God into your life. In John 21:15-17, Jesus asks Peter 3 times if he loves Him, and all three times Peter answered, "Yes." Jesus told Peter, "If you love Me, feed my sheep." The word 'feed' means caring or looking after. One of the ways that a pastor shows his love for the people is by feeding them and giving them the Word of God; He protects, guards and nourishes the people. He nourishes your soul and reinsures you that God is with you. By him doing this, it demonstrates the love of Christ. Acts 20:28 is an awesome Scripture. The Apostle Paul is telling the Ephesian elders, "So guard yourselves and God's people. Feed and shepherd God's flock." Pastors should lead, feed and protect you through the ministry of the Word of God. A pastor gives you instructions in the Word of God under the unction of the Holy Spirit. He is devoted to reading and studying the Scripture. He is devoted to prayer and is on call 24/7. A pastor should be a stable person who is pleasing God. He should be modest, humble and should have Godly fear. A pastor also makes sure that the body of Christ is equipped and ready to go out there. He trains the people to do the work of the Lord. He should be teaching you how to be in God's grace. He is a person that wears many hats and will certainly be rewarded when that day comes when the Lord tells him face to face, "Well done my good and faithful servant." |
